3M Fire Block Sealant FB 136 is ideal to seal interior construction voids around through penetrations (i. e. , wires, pipes, HVAC ducts and vents) in wood or steel framed non-rated construction. It is a versatile, one component, non-combustible draft, smoke and fire-blocking sealant, designed to resist high temperatures and smoke passage in non-rated construction. Product may also be used around chimney, fireplace and other framing gaps. Can be applied to overhead, vertical, and horizontal applications. Not for exterior use. 3M Fire Block Sealant FB 136 is tested to and passed the criteria of ASTM E-136 Standard Test Method for Behavior of Materials in a Vertical Tube Furnace at 750C (1380F). The sealant complies with the requirements of the International Building Code (IBC), International Residential Code (IRC), International Fire Code (IFC), International Mechanical Code (IMC), International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC) and NFPA 5000.
